Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your personal information. Last updated: April 2026.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information: (1) Contact information you provide directly, including your full name, email address, phone number, company name, and physical address when you fill out our contact form, request a quote, register as a dealer, or place an order. (2) Technical data collected automatically when you visit our website, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen resolution, referring website URL, and pages visited. (3) Order and transaction data, including products purchased, order amounts, payment method used, and delivery address. (4) Communication data, including records of your correspondence with our sales and support teams via email, WhatsApp, or phone.

How We Use Your Data

We use your personal information for the following purposes: (1) Order processing and fulfillment -- to process your orders, arrange shipping, and communicate delivery updates. (2) Customer service -- to respond to your inquiries, provide technical support, and handle returns or warranty claims. (3) Marketing communications -- to send you product updates, promotions, and newsletters, but only if you have opted in to receive such communications. You can unsubscribe at any time. (4) Website analytics -- to understand how visitors use our website, improve our content and user experience, and monitor website performance. (5) Legal compliance -- to comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.

Cookie Policy

Our website uses the following types of cookies: (1) Essential cookies -- required for the website to function properly, including session management and security features. These cannot be disabled. (2) Analytics cookies -- Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics cookies that help us understand how visitors interact with our website. These record page views, session duration, and traffic sources against a pseudonymous identifier -- it marks a browser for up to two years and never names the person using it, which is not the same as anonymous. (3) Preference cookies -- to remember your language preference (English, Arabic, or French) and other display settings. No advertising or retargeting cookie is set on this site today; the cookie banner nevertheless asks about advertising, so that if one is ever introduced your answer is already on record instead of being collected afterwards. Where consent is required before measurement, that banner asks you before category (2) runs at all, and nothing is measured until you answer. Essential cookies run either way -- the pages cannot be served without them -- which is why they are not offered as a choice. Your answer is kept in a cookie named _dcc for 180 days; clearing this site's data in your browser clears it, and the banner asks again. You can also manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling non-essential cookies will not affect core website functionality. Beyond the essentials, we record how you interact with each page: time spent and how much of it you are active, scroll depth, which elements you hover over and for how long, what you click, the terms you type into our on-site search, the filters you apply, and which form fields you complete or abandon. We record which field, never what you typed into it, and never payment or password fields. A first-party cookie identifies your browser — not you personally — for up to two years so we can recognise a returning visitor and know which channel first brought you to us. Your approximate location is derived from your IP address and is accurate only to city level; we do not request or use your device's GPS position. We also record where on the page you click (as a position, to build aggregate heatmaps), repeated or ineffective clicks and pinch-zooms that indicate something is hard to use, text you highlight, and use of print or right-click. We collect page performance measurements, JavaScript errors and failed image loads from your session, together with your device's graphics chipset and processor core count, so we can find pages that perform badly on real devices in your market. When you use our system builder, comparison tool, error-code lookup or cart, we record the options you choose and where you stop, including quantities. We infer a likely audience segment from your browser language and time zone; this is an estimate used only for aggregate reporting, never to change the price or terms shown to you. Your time zone is read a second time for a different reason: it tells us whether the law where you are obliges us to ask before we measure anything. For most visitors it does not, no banner appears, and measurement begins with the first page. The cookie banner's answer is also recorded on our side, not only in your browser: the date, the brand and market you answered from, the language you were reading, how you answered, and the pseudonymous visitor identifier -- kept 790 days so that what was chosen and when can be shown.

Third-Party Services & Data Sharing

We share personal information with the following categories of third parties: (1) Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics -- for website usage statistics, which are pseudonymous rather than anonymous: every figure is keyed to an identifier that singles out one browser for up to two years and carries no name, address or account of yours. (2) Shipping and logistics partners -- we share your delivery address and contact number with our trusted shipping partners to arrange product delivery. (3) Payment processors -- your payment details are processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. (4) Service and installation partners -- we may share your contact information with Deye-trained service technicians or installation partners in your region only when you explicitly request on-site service or commissioning support. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for the following periods: (1) Customer account and order data -- for 7 years from the date of your last transaction, as required for tax and accounting purposes under UAE law. (2) Contact form inquiries -- for 2 years from the date of your inquiry, after which they are deleted. (3) Website analytics and behaviour records -- deleted automatically 26 months after they are written, rather than kept on in an anonymised form. (4) Marketing communication preferences -- until you unsubscribe or request deletion. You may request earlier deletion of your data at any time, subject to our legal retention obligations.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data transmissions between your browser and our website are encrypted using SSL/TLS protocols (HTTPS). Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel who need it to perform their job functions. We conduct regular security reviews of our systems and third-party integrations.

(4) Right to restrict processing -- request that we limit how we use your data. (5) Right to data portability -- receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format. We comply with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL). As a UAE-based business, we ensure that: (1) Personal data is collected for clear, specific, and legitimate purposes. (2) Data processing is proportionate to the purposes for which it was collected. (3) We obtain your consent before processing personal data, unless processing is necessary for contract performance or legal obligations. (4) Cross-border data transfers are conducted in compliance with PDPL requirements. (5) You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal data held by us.

Your Rights

Regardless of your location, you have the right to: (1) Access the personal data we hold about you. (2) Correct any inaccurate or incomplete information. (3) Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements. (4) Opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or contacting us directly. (5) Request a copy of your data in a portable format. (6) Lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated.
