About the Deye 5 kW Single-Phase String Solar Inverter SUN-5K-G04 in the UAE

The Deye SUN-5K-G04 is a single-phase string inverter from the String (G) family, wired L+N+PE and rated at 5 kW of AC output active power. It wakes at a start-up voltage of 80 V, so a partly shaded roof begins exporting well before full sun, and from there it tracks anywhere between 70 V and 500 V across two independent MPPTs fed by one string each. That two-tracker layout suits a villa or a small commercial rooftop whose roof faces point in different directions and never peak together. Up to 6500 W of PV input can be connected, with a 550 V ceiling on PV input voltage and 19.5 A of short-circuit current tolerated per input. On the grid side the SUN-5K-G04 delivers 220/230 V at up to 25 A, for a maximum apparent power of 5500 VA. Its IP65 enclosure is naturally cooled, stays under 35 dB, weighs 8 kg and measures 330 x 323 x 190 mm. Deye states a 5-year warranty on the SUN-5K-G04.
