About the Deye 5 kW Single-Phase Hybrid Solar Inverter SUN-5K-SG05LP1-EU in Oman

The Deye SUN-5K-SG05LP1-EU is a single-phase hybrid inverter from the SG05LP1 hybrid family, rated at 5 kW of AC output active power. During an outage it runs a three-bedroom villa off the battery — a split air conditioner, a well pump on a soft start, kitchen appliances and the lighting circuits — with as much as 120 A of discharge current on tap. Its two MPPT trackers take a single string each, up to 8 kW of PV input power and 10 kW of connected panels, at 500 V maximum inside a 150-425 V window. MPPT efficiency is above 99%, peak conversion efficiency reaches 97.6% and the European weighted figure is 96.5%, so little of a modest roof is lost between panel and socket. The AC side supplies 220/230 V, up to 5.5 kVA of apparent power and 22.7 A of rated output current, with anti-islanding and residual current detection included.
